Legacy 420 indica plant

With local guide, Peter Brotherhood, we will explore the world of cannabis at Legacy 420. This is a First Nation owned and operated medical cannabis retail outlet in Tyendinaga.  En route, we will cover the long history of the plant’s use, touch on the “reefer madness” propaganda campaign that made it illegal during the prohibition era in the early 20th century, as well as explain the difference between THC, CBD and the many ways to consume it (smoking, vaping, oils, capsules, suppositories, edibles, etc.) We will also provide information on cannabinoids, the plant’s chemical compounds, as well as the human endocannabinoid system - cannabinoids and their receptors produced naturally in the body. At this state-of-the-art facility, we will tour the labs where medical cannabis is tested for potency, pesticides, microbes and terpenes.  See their

in-store bakery where edible cannabis recipes come to life. There is time to purchase various smoking accessories and cannabis products from 55 strains of dried flowers, to infused beverages, from freshly baked goods, to topical healing salves, cannabis oils, tinctures and capsules. It has the largest selection of tested, high-quality cannabis in Canada!  Eat lunch on your own at the On Route Service Centre near Trenton.
